I arrived at Umeda Coffee House New YC around 7:00 in the morning, and almost all of the 77 seats in the restaurant were occupied, and I was guided to a small table that was barely empty. On weekend mornings in Umeda, one might imagine that there are many drunks who have been drinking all night and young people who have been partying, but the customers in the restaurant at that time were not like that, and the age range was quite wide. This means that many customers come to the coffee house for the coffee. The store has been in business for more than 50 years, and it can be seen that there are some deep-rooted fans of the store.

The interior of the store is decorated in a classic style, and although it is showing its age, it is a gorgeous space. In the Showa period, coffee time at this place must have felt very rich. Well, it is not so easy to spend a relaxing time here because of the layout of the restaurant, which has a lot of seats crammed into a limited space. Smoking is allowed in all areas of the restaurant. Therefore, by law, people under 20 years old are not allowed to use this restaurant. Although there are some restrictions like this, if you are an adult who can smoke, this restaurant is very easy to use, isn’t it? There is an Osaka-Umeda station of Hankyu line right in front of the store, so you can take a train right after leaving the store, which is also a considerable advantage.

I prefer coffee with a strong bitterness, but this coffee was very gentle on my body after waking up from sleep, and I liked it.
