Just as the name suggests, this shop is located in a corner of the bustling Minamimorimachi Intersection—a hub of businesspeople—and opens at 8:00 a.m. Isn’t it the perfect spot for breakfast before your commute? There was a day when I happened to be passing through Minamimorimachi on my way to work, so I decided to get off the train early and have breakfast here…

An incredibly urban and stylish atmosphere… “Bread, Espresso, and Minamimorimachi Intersection” is a shop like this…

Bread, Espresso, and Minamimorimachi Intersection is located on the first floor of the Premier Hotel CABIN PRESIDENT Osaka, on the southwest corner of the Minamimorimachi Intersection, in a space next to the hotel lobby. The hotel’s curved walls, combined with the all-glass facade on the first floor, create an incredibly urban and stylish atmosphere. Well, on the flip side of that stylish all-glass design, the shop’s entrance can be a bit hard to spot… I recommend entering the hotel first and then heading into the café from the lobby side.

Now, just like at Bread, Espresso, and Hakatatto, the system here is to secure a seat first and then go to the register to place your order. I did a quick count, and there are a total of 32 seats, including 20 at the counter. There are also a few outdoor terrace seats, so on nice days, you can enjoy a relaxing coffee break while breathing in the fresh air. Also, even though it’s a café inside a hotel, it doesn’t seem to be used as the hotel’s breakfast venue, so personally, I appreciated that it wasn’t too noisy with hotel guests.

So, let me introduce the BLT sandwich I ordered that day at Bread, Espresso, and Minamimorimachi Intersection. I got the BLT sandwich with a hot coffee, and the price—which I was curious about—was 950 + 400, totaling 1,350 yen including tax…

About five minutes after ordering, the BLT sandwich and hot coffee were brought to my table—here’s what they looked like. The egg spilling out from between the bread slices and the golden brown bacon are incredibly appetizing.

Now, let’s dig in… The bread is toasted to a crispy, aromatic perfection, so the first thing you enjoy is that crunchy texture when you bite into it. At the same time, the smoky aroma of the bacon gently wafts up to your nose, and the tomato pulp, crisp lettuce, and fatty bacon all rush into your mouth at once. Is that Thousand Island dressing on the ingredients? It’s generously applied, so combined with the umami of the ingredients, the flavor is quite rich. Don’t worry about getting dressing on your face or hands—just open wide and take a big bite.

And the hot coffee that accompanies this BLT sandwich—while it has a noticeable bitterness—is relatively light and goes down easily. Partly because the BLT sandwich is so rich, I’m finishing my coffee faster than usual. Maybe I’ll get a refill? With Wi-Fi and power outlets readily available, if time allows, it might be a good idea to just stay here and get some work done.
